I was born in Antakya. I completed my primary and secondary education in Samsun (Samsun Anatolian High School). I am a graduate of Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. After completing my compulsory duty, I passed the TUS exam and started my Aesthetic-Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery assistant training. During my training at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital (clinic chief Prof. Dr. Lütfü Baş) between 1992-1998, I gained experience especially in reconstructive and hand microsurgery. In 1997, I worked at François Rabelais University Faculty of Medicine (Tours, France) for 3 months, increasing my experience in maxillofacial surgery (Prof. Dr. Dominique Goga) and aesthetic-plastic surgery in Paris (Dr. B. Cornette de St Cyr). In 1998, I graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine. I completed a rotation in craniofacial surgery at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (Prof. Dr. Ecmel Songür). Between 1999 and 2010, I served as chief resident at the Aesthetic, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic of Vakıf Gureba Hospital (clinic chief Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zafer Özsoy). During this time, I continued my educational and scientific work. In 2003, I gained experience in aesthetic surgery at Virginia Arlington Hospital (Washington DC) under Assoc. Prof. Dr. Talal Munasifi (Georgetown University). I became an associate professor in 2011 and a full professor (Istanbul Okan University Faculty of Medicine) in 2016. I currently practice at my own clinic in Suadiye, Istanbul.
