Abdominoplasty

General Information About

Deformities and sagging in the abdominal area following childbirth and weight changes are corrected with liposuction and/or abdominoplasty. Because the anterior abdominal wall is reshaped, the patient’s posture and dynamics can be improved, and any back and lower back pain may be alleviated. Therefore, abdominoplasty is both aesthetically and functionally beneficial.

Who is suitable for this procedure?

Those with deformities in the abdominal area that cannot be corrected with traditional methods (weight loss, cryolipolysis, liposuction, etc.).

How is the surgery performed?

Under general anesthesia, excess skin and subcutaneous fat are removed, the loose abdominal wall is tightened, and the belly button is repositioned. The surgery takes 2-3 hours. Drains are removed after 4-5 days. The patient wears an abdominal corset for one month.

Will my belly button change location?

The sagging and deformed belly button is reshaped and repositioned to its original location.

Will there be a scar?

Yes. For those with a C-section scar, the scar extends slightly to either side, forming a line along the bikini line. Sometimes, there may be a short scar that crosses this line perpendicular to the midline.

What are the complications?

In addition to the complications that can occur with any surgery, smokers may experience wound healing problems.
